Douglas Assault

Approximately 2.50pm on Thursday 19th May 2011 a 27 year old male was assaulted by a second unidentified male while they were both walking in the public lane behind Farrant Street, which links Hilary Road and Bury Street in Douglas. The male who was assaulted suffered minor bruising, but did not require hospital treatment. It is understood that the person responsible was white skinned and possibly aged between 35 and 40 years old , approximately 5 feet 10 inches in height and wearing blue jeans and a khaki coloured jacket. No weapon was used during the course of the assault. Following the assault, the person responsible is believed to have walked off in the direction of Park Road. The investigating Officer, Constable Nichola Crossley is urging anyone with any information concerning this matter to come forward and contact her on 631212, or alternatively by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be given anonymously if preferred.
