Senior Financial Consultant Appointed to Edgewater Associates’ Board

by isleofman.com 20th May 2011
Sandra Cardwell, Senior Financial Consultant at Edgewater Associates Limited, has been appointed to the company’s board of directors. Sandra, who has more than 22 years’ experience in the financial services industry, joined Edgewater in May 2008 and has been involved in all aspects of client facing financial advice. In extending her role she will have a specific remit to consider the implications of the Retail Distribution Review (RDR), a UK Financial Services Authority initiative that is likely to impact on the Isle of Man. It is anticipated that the Island will be required to fall into line with the UK under this review, and Sandra will be instrumental in ensuring Edgewater meets all requirements. She commented: “I am very much looking forward to this new challenge, especially given the importance of RDR, and am determined to see this through to a successful implementation.” Steve Locking, Managing Director of Edgewater Associates Limited, congratulated Sandra on her appointment and commented: “Sandra has made a valuable contribution to Edgewater during her time with us, and her appointment recognises this. Going forward the industry will face major challenges in relation to RDR, and Sandra will play a key role in ensuring all requirements are met.” - ENDS -
