The club will again be hosting the PokerStars IOMLTA Senior Closed Championships from Saturday 11 – Sunday 19 June. There will always be one court available for members and Tuesday Club Night will still go ahead court 1 and the indoor court. The Committee really would like to see members supporting this event, especially as it will take place on “home ground”. Details on the lta website. Albany will be holding a Family Fun Day on Saturday 28 May from 1–5pm. Last year’s event was a great success and the club committee invite all club members/non-members – young or not so young and their families to just turn up for a friendly informal afternoon. This is the chance for all “armchair Wimbledon stars” and would be Nadals or Sharapovas to get out on the court and just maybe will show some hidden talents. Club coach, Ian Watson and committee members will be on hand to give a few tips. There will be a BBQ throughout the afternoon. ENDS
