Yn Chruinnaght festival has released an exciting CD of Celtic music called The Gathering. The Gathering features twelve tracks donated by artists who have played at the festival in the Isle of Man over the years. The Gathering CD will raise vital funds for future events. It costs ?10 and is available from Peter Norris Music (Douglas), Shakti Man (Ramsey) and from Yn Chruinnaght Committee members. The Gathering CD will appeal to the many fans of Celtic music and to anyone interested in finding out more about our rich and varied Celtic cultural heritage. It features the traditional sound of the harp, fiddle, bagpipe, with many other instruments, as well as songs in the Celtic languages. “It’s a fantastic celebration of some of the wonderful music and performances that make Yn Chruinnaght so special,” said Breesha Maddrell, Manx Music Development Officer. The Gathering CD also contains some previously unreleased material.
