Archery Report

by isleofman.com 31st May 2011
This week’s archery report is of complete madness with the extreme windy conditions we’ve had or the last couple of weeks that a dissection had to be made with Island games only four weeks away the decision was made back indoors. So this week is spring madness Fita 18 with many of the club members out the night before at the DC/AC gig some were the worst for wear and stayed at home, for the one’s that did shoot Alex Snell pushed his supremacy to top the gents recurve from Tony Hartley with Jon Rutland just piping Billy Lightfoot for the last spot on the podium by just three points. In the ladies recurve Charlotte George topped the table from Anne Rutland, Gents compound taken by Peter Mumford and Ladies Compound was topped by Joy Gough, Junior recurve saw Chris Holmes top out ahead of Adam Wright with Bradley Layton shoot his way to the last step of the podium. Spring Madness Fita 18 Results Gents Recurve Alex Snell 60 10 513 Tony Hartley 59 11 489 Jon Rutland 60 2 449 Billy Lightfoot 60 4 446 Frank Vaughan 58 4 396 PB Ladies Recurve Charlotte George 60 16 525 Anne Rutland 52 11 426 Gent Compound Peter Mumford 59 15 541 Ladies Compound Joy Gough 59 11 528 Junior Recurve Chris Holmes 60 6 458 PB Adam Wright 59 7 403 Bradley Layton 56 3 375 Next weeks round is suppose to be the Mad/Sunday Double Fita 70 and a long metric 3 for the novice classification fingers crossed that the weather changes for the best as it’s not only us that would like that I’m sure the poor TT visitors that are camping will be wishing the same all competitors are asked to help with the field setup at 9:30 for sighters at 10:30.
