The Roads Policing Unit and Department of Public Transport and would like to remind members of the public to pay attention to Electric Trams and Steam Trains. Richard Little, Marketing and New business manager for the department said: “The electric trams and steam trains are in operation during TT and that all road users should take extra care at level crossings, particularly at the bungalow on the Mountain Road. We have had instances where people are failing to stop and passing through very quickly, please pay attention to our workers.” Inspector Mark Britton of the Roads Policing Unit said: “This reinforces that people need to take care on the roads at this busy time of year, take care and pay attention. Stop. Rather than put anyone, including yourself, in danger I would also like to include the Horse trams in Douglas as a part of this timely reminder”. ENDS
