Request for Information

by isleofman.com 8th June 2011
Castletown Police are investigating the theft of a cordless power drill which was taken at some time between Sunday 22nd and Monday 30th May 2011. The item which has been taken is a Makita 8391 18v drill which was in a sky blue carry case along with 2 batteries, a charger, and a 101 piece drill accessory set. On the afternoon of Sunday the 22nd May the owner placed the drill in his garage which opens up onto Kallow Point Road, Port St Mary, and has view over the Golf Course. When he went to use it on the morning of Monday 30th he found that the drill was missing. It would appear that the offenders have forced open the door to gain entry into the garage, before pulling it shut again as they have left the scene. If anyone noticed any suspicious activity in or around that area during that time, has been offered any items matching the description, or has any other information whatsoever in relation to this crime, they are urged to contact Police Constable Lee Wright at Castletown Police Station on 822222, via lee.wright@gov.im, or alternatively give their information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. -ENDS-
