ICSA Annual Dinner – Guest Speaker Eve Pollard OBE

Mount Murray Hotel & Country Club, Santon, Isle of Man Sponsored by RBS International The ‘first lady of Fleet Street’ Eve Pollard OBE, editor, journalist, author and lecturer is to be the after-dinner guest speaker at this year’s ICSA Annual Dinner, sponsored by Royal Bank of Scotland International, at Mount Murray Hotel & Country Club, Santon, on Friday 24 June 2011. The event is open to all - members and non-members of the Institute are all welcome. Starting out in women's magazines, Eve rose to edit both the Sunday Mirror and Sunday Express, as well as magazine supplements for many of the national Sunday papers. Returning to women's titles she also launched Elle magazine in the US as its first editor-in-chief. Today, Eve is a regular reporter on BBC1's The One Show. She also frequently appears on radio and TV from The News Quiz to You and Yours, This Morning to Have I Got News For You, Loose Women to the Daily Politics. Eve is also a published novelist and biographer. Treasury Minister, Anne Craine MHK will present prizes and awards to students as part of the evening and Ron Berry has again kindly taken on the role of Master of Ceremonies. The evening will also include a charity raffle in support of two Isle of Man charities - Hospice Isle of Man and Bowel Cancer IOM.
