by isleofman.com 15th June 2011
Eleanor Davies has been named Team Royal London 360's rider of the month for May. The talented 12 year old receives the coveted award for the impressive performances she has been posting this season both on and off the island. On home soil Eleanor has been on top form in her own club's Tuesday night youth league at the NSC. Competing on equal terms with the boys, she has scored top five finishes in all but two of the nine rounds already completed in the under 12 racing bike class and as a result has built up a commanding lead in the race for overall victory in the girls' competition. Off-island, the Glen Vine youngster won the U/12 girls' gold medal at the North West Youth Championships in Southport and finished a superb second girl overall in the gruelling North West International Youth Tour, staged over five stages at venues in Blackpool, Lancaster and Preston. In recognition of her achievements Eleanor receives a commemorative trophy and ?50 in cash. ENDS
