Two lucky winners of an exclusive Manx Telecom competition are looking forward to receiving VIP treatment at the Sir Elton John concert. Carol Crane from Ramsey, and David Baker from Douglas, won the ‘money can’t buy’ tickets in a competition which was open to all Manx Telecom mobile customers. The prize includes two Platinum area seats and back stage tour plus a Champagne reception in the VIP marquee where the winners and their guests will be offered canapes and a hot and cold buffet. Prior to taking their seats the VIP tickets winners will be entertained by a magician, a harpist and a silhouette artist. The Manx Telecom prize package also includes fast track entrance to the venue, priority parking, tickets to the after show party, and a Manx Telecom goodie bag. It will be the first time Carol has seen Sir Elton in concert, but not the first time for husband Stuart who will be her guest at the show on June 16. Carol said: “I couldn’t believe it when Manx Telecom phoned up to say I had won the tickets. It’s really exciting.” Concert promoter Ben Martin, of Marshall Arts, said David and Carol and their guests were in for an unforgettable evening. Ben said: “Sir Elton’s concerts are always memorable occasions, as you would expect from one of the world’s greatest entertainers. But for David and Carol the evening promises to be a once in a lifetime experience as they will be given VIP treatment from the moment they arrive.
