Guidance for Voters and Election Candidates

by isleofman.com 17th June 2011
As the countdown continues towards the House of Keys election on September 29, new guides have been produced to assist both voters and candidates. A ‘Guidance for Voters’ document provides advice on registering to vote and how to cast your vote using one of the three different methods available – • placing your vote at a polling station • applying for an absent vote • applying for the appointment of a proxy to vote on your behalf The ‘Guidance for Candidates’ offers practical advice to anyone who wishes to stand in a House of Keys election. The information covers each of the main steps involved, from nomination through to the declaration of the result. The guides, along with details of the designated returning officers in each constituency and previous election results, are available on the Chief Secretary’s Office website at http://www.gov.im/cso/election/ Ends
