Ramsey RNLI Lifeboat Launched

by isleofman.com 27th June 2011
Ramsey RNLI lifeboat, the Ann and James Ritchie, was launched at 18:45 yesterday, Sunday, at the request of Liverpool Coastguard after a call for asking for medical advice had been received from a visiting yacht moored in Ramsey Bay. A member of the yacht’s crew was suffering with severe sea sickness and had been for several hours. The casualty was taken on board the lifeboat and brought into Ramsey Harbour where an ambulance was waiting. However the casualty had recuperated sufficiently and needed no further medical treatment. The lifeboat returned to station to be re-housed and her volunteer crew were stood down by 20:00. End
