Luminaires Paves The Way With IsleofDeals.com

by isleofman.com 6th July 2011
Luminaires has become the first Manx company to offer a retail product on the IsleofDeals.com website founded by Manx Olympic snowboarder Zoe Gillings. The lighting specialists are offering a top quality table lamp at a massive discount on the daily deals website - the first time any company has been involved in this way. Zoe Gilling’s has competed with considerable success around the world and is Britain’s top ranked snowboarder but her career has been plagued with injury and lack of finance so she has now decided to take the finances into her own hands and has turned entrepreneur to fund her Olympicdream. “I had to think of something different and knew I had to do it myself. IsleofDeals.com is a deal-a-day website where we feature businesses from all over the Isle of man with huge savings of between 50%-90% off. In only 7 weeks we have had great success with a huge variety of businesses and I’m really looking forward to working with Luminaires. The public receive a great deal and businesses receive huge marketing exposure.” Isleofdeals.com initially concentrated on services such as restaurants, horse riding, gyms and beauty therapies but following considerable success in these areas it decided to expand into full retail products so the agreement with Luminaires breaks new ground. All profit generated by Isleofdeals.com is being invested into Zoe’s Olympic training program. Luminaires are offering a 54% discount off the Flos lamp by “Miss K” which normally sells at 172. Ralph Peake of Luminaires said, “Its good to be able to support Zoe in this way, on the day of the deal our business is put in front of thousands of Isleofdeals subscribers on the Island and only if we sell the lamps does Isleofdeals take a share of the profit. It’s a win win situation for everyone and its great to know that Luminaires will be supporting Zoe directly as all profits generated by Isleofdeals is invested back into Zoe’s Olympic program. ENDS
