Isle of Man Post Office has successfully launched its first ever digital mail product - ePostbox - which will radically change the way customers can receive their mail.
ePostbox was officially launched at a reception held in the Mailbox, Douglas among guests including the Chief Minister, Tynwald Members and valued clients of Isle of Man Post Office. The new product has brought about a significant partnership with Swiss Post, one of the most innovative posts in Europe and representatives from Swiss Post also attended.
At the launch there were four notable speakers; Chief Minister Tony Brown MHK, Chairman of Isle of Man Post Office Alan Crowe MLC, Post Office Chief Executive Mike Kelly and Frank Marthaler, Chief Executive Officer Swiss Post Solutions and Member of the Swiss Post Executive Management. Guests were also given an exclusive demonstration of ePostbox, how it works, how easy it will be to access your physical mail digitally and the service?s many benefits.
ePostbox is suitable to both individuals and businesses and will appeal to a wide variety of customers including people working away from home, frequent travellers, multiple homeowners and students. Following the presentations, guests were able to chat with Isle of Man Post Office?s Sales Team about how the product can really work for them.
ePostbox changes the traditional way of receiving mail. For the very first time, customers subscribing to the new service will have total control over each piece of mail they receive and, wherever they are in the world, they will be able to fully access and manage their physical post via their smart phone or PC.
ePostbox will go live on July 27 and this new product brings a significant amount of prestige to the Island as Isle of Man Post Office continues to position itself as an innovative and forward-thinking Post compared to its counterparts.
Mike Kelly, Chief Executive of Isle of Man Post Office said: “The launch was an important day for Isle of Man Post Office as we announced our landmark contract with a new business partner - Swiss Post. ePostbox is our very first widely available digital mail product and we chose this because we believe it provides an important transition that will take us and our customers from the era of physical mail into the digital services of the future.”
He added: “Digital communication is continuing to become more advanced breaking down the traditional geographic barriers of physical mail. Isle of Man Post Office intends to be at the forefront of postal technology and we believe the launch of ePostbox is the first step towards that.”
