Duncan Lawrie (Isle of Man) Celebrate 25 Years with Flowers and Festivities

by isleofman.com 8th July 2011
This year we celebrate our 25th anniversary in the Isle of Man. Since opening the doors for business in 1986 to service the international clients of the Duncan Lawrie Private Banking group, we have grown steadily; today we provide a full suite of banking, investment and wealth management solutions to our Island and overseas based clients. Having supported the Island’s Southern Festival of Flowers this year, the directors marked reaching this milestone by hosting a reception in the grounds of Rushen Abbey, Ballasalla. On Friday 1 July clients and friends of Duncan Lawrie celebrated our 25 years in the tranquil surroundings of the Abbey gardens and amongst the parish flower displays. Commenting on how the business had grown over the past 25 years, Alan Molloy, Managing Director, cited our use of cutting-edge technology, the introduction of online banking and the new SimplyOne combined Visa credit/debit card as evidence of a commitment to complement the bank’s long-standing client-oriented personal service. ‘The world may have become a smaller and more complex place,’ he said, ‘yet we have embraced such change and IT innovation, whilst still retaining our traditional virtues and values; not least our conservative approach to risk management and our dedication to providing the highest levels of personal service.’ Alan also spoke about our plans for the year ahead. ‘During 2011 and into next year we will be rolling out a number of initiatives that will serve to underline Duncan Lawrie’s outward-looking approach, including; new business development efforts internationally, enhancements to our internet platform and other related business ventures. In summary, Duncan Lawrie is very much focused on the future and our next 25 years!’ - ends -
