Request For Information

by isleofman.com 11th July 2011
At around 23:45 on Friday 8th July 2011, a white Ford Escort Van was being driven around Market Place, Ramsey when it has come upon a male stood in the road who refused to move out the way, and subsequently punched the driver’s door window causing it to shatter and shower the van driver in glass. The male then ran off towards the Quayside. The incident occurred just past the Royal George Public house and it is believed that the area was packed following on from the “Ramsey Rocks” event that had taken place that evening. The male suspect is described as being in their early twenties, slim build, dark short hair and wearing a black or dark grey polo shirt and jeans. Anyone who witnessed the incident and can identify the suspect is asked to contact Ramsey Police on 812234. Police would especially like to speak to 2 males who spoke with the van driver immediately after the incident occurred and may have provided a name for the suspect. ENDS
