Manx2.com will once again be promoting the Isle of Man at the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate over the next few days. Dubbed England’s premier agricultural show, it’s expected to attract more than 130,000 visitors over three days, including HRH the Prince of Wales.
The 153rd show is taking place on a 100 acre showground and will feature a range of attractions including horse jumping and a sky dive by the Red Devils, the parachute regiments’ free-fall display team.
Manx2.com, with Isle of Man Tourism, will speak to show goers about the many reasons to visit the Isle of Man and its easy accessibility with Manx2.com’s daily flights from Leeds Bradford International Airport.
Manx2.com also attended the Three Counties Show in Gloucester in June and Business Development Executive, Ann Hartley, commented: ‘These shows provide a great showcase for us and an opportunity to get out there and meet people. We tell them all about what a great place the Isle of Man is, both to visit and to do business, and how easy it is to get to us with twice daily flights from Gloucester (M5) airport as well as free parking.
‘We’re also attending the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show this month and we’ll attend the Anglesey Show in August. This shows our commitment to spreading the word about the Isle of Man and working closely with our partners in Department of Economic Development to attract visitors and businesses to the Island.’
Geoff Corkish MBE MHK, Political Member for Isle of Man Tourism, said: ‘The Great Yorkshire Show is a prestigious and very popular event and once again Manx2.com is flying the Manx flag. The department salutes the efforts of local businesses who promote how wonderful the Island is and Manx2.com shows great enthusiasm in doing so.’
Ann Hartley will be tweeting live from the showground for the duration of the event. To follow Manx2.com on twitter go to: http://twitter.com/FlyManx2
