The Wessex Junior Open & Wessex Shield Doubles 2011 concluded on Sunday in brilliant sunshine,- no rain at Ballaughton! - with a very enjoyable programme of matches, including some exciting Boys 10 & under doubles. This was the 25th time that Wessex had sponsored this event. The prizes were presented by Adrian Christian, who had played in the inaugural event with his brother Stephen and won the 18 and under doubles. A club member, Linda Donald, had made a special cake, designed as a tennis court thanking Wessex for the support, which was soon eaten after the presentations.
