Family Fun in Noble’s Park on July 24

by isleofman.com 14th July 2011
Rodeo bulls, bouncy castles and Punch and Judy will feature alongside ‘green-themed’ attractions at this year’s Douglas Borough Council fun day on Sunday July 24 in Noble’s Park. In addition to gymnastic displays, live music, wellington-throwing contests, face painting, races, car boot stalls and a range of catering outlets, there will be a ‘green village’ area with stands manned by representatives from a number of environmental, energy-saving and waste management agencies, along with displays of artwork produced from recycled material, while the Henry Bloom Noble Library will be holding a books sale. Entertainment will include Douglas Town Band, Onchan Entertainers and live bands throughout the afternoon performing on the bandstand. The event will be opened at 2pm by His Worship, the Mayor of Douglas, Councillor Ritchie McNicholl JP. ENDS
