Police are investigating a hit and run road traffic collision which occurred between 9am and 5pm on the 9th July 2011 on the forecourt of the newly built industrial units in Balthane Industrial Estate, Ballasalla. The incident involved two vehicles, one of which was a blue ‘Man’ 8163 box van (similar to the one shown below); this was stationary at the time. The offending vehicle has struck the van causing a dent, a crack, and number of scratches to the front bumper; the offending vehicle has then left the scene without making any effort to stop. Police Constable Lee Wright said: “The other vehicle involved in the collision has by all accounts made no effort to stop at the scene of the collision. I would ask this person to make contact with as soon as possible to clear the matter up” If anyone has any information whatsoever in relation to this incident, they are urged to contact Police Constable Lee Wright at Port Erin Police Station on 832222, via lee.wright@gov.im, or alternatively give their information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. -------------------- Police are investigating a hit and run road traffic collision which occurred between 9am and 5pm on the 15th July 2011 within the public car park near to the Old Grammar School, in Castletown. The incident involved two vehicles, one of which was a blue BMW which was stationary at the time. The offending vehicle has struck the BMW causing a dent and a number of scratches to the front driver’s side wheel arch; this vehicle has then left the scene without making any effort to stop. Police Constable Lee Wright said: “This is a significant incident to the owner of the vehicle where offences may have been committed with cost implications. ” If anyone has any information whatsoever in relation to this incident, they are urged to contact Police Constable Lee Wright at Port Erin Police Station on 832222, via lee.wright@gov.im, or alternatively give their information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. - Ends -
