Police are investigating a hit and run road traffic collision which occurred between 9am and 5pm on the 9th July 2011 on the forecourt of the newly built industrial units in Balthane Industrial Estate, Ballasalla. The incident involved two vehicles, one of which was a blue ‘Man’ 8163 box van (similar to the one shown below); this was stationary at the time. The offending vehicle has struck the van causing a dent, a crack, and number of scratches to the front bumper; the offending vehicle has then left the scene without making any effort to stop. Police Constable Lee Wright said: “The other vehicle involved in the collision has by all accounts made no effort to stop at the scene of the collision. The incident involved two vehicles, one of which was a blue BMW which was stationary at the time. The offending vehicle has struck the BMW causing a dent and a number of scratches to the front driver’s side wheel arch; this vehicle has then left the scene without making any effort to stop.
