Leading Manx training provider, TLC Business Solutions is now fully accredited by The Association for Accounting Technicians (AAT) following an intensive approval process. This means that, for the first time in a decade, those studying for this globally recognised qualification can learn and sit their exams in the Isle of Man. Previously students have had to travel to the UK to do this.
The AAT is sponsored by the professional accountancy bodies CIPFA, ICAEW, CIMA and ICAS. It gives individuals practical, internationally recognised finance and accountancy skills that can open doors in any industry across the world.
Sue Gee, Managing Director at TLC commented: ‘Following the launch of TLC Technical we are delighted to bring the AAT qualification back to the Isle of Man. More and more companies are recognising the practical benefits that the AAT offers, and it is perfect both for those already working in the industry and those who are starting their careers. We have scheduled courses from September and the examination centre will be available from October.’
Jane Scott Paul – Chief Executive of AAT, said: “We are delighted that AAT qualifications are once again available on the Isle of Man. They provide the opportunity for people of all ages to gain a recognised professional accountancy qualification which opens up a wide range of career development opportunities. ”
Delivered by local trainers at TLC’s purpose-built training centre, the programmes will offer students the flexibility of studying without too great an impact on their day jobs. More information is available by contacting info@tlc.co.im .
