Summer Fun at NSC Pool

by isleofman.com 21st July 2011
The National Sports Centre Swimming Pool in Douglas is promising lots of fun for everyone during the summer holidays. Special activities include a ‘total wipe-out’ floating obstacle course. In addition there will be fast flume rides, whirlpool and fun sessions with floats and rafts, water cannon and other features, as well as the ever popular lane swimming. Additionally, the NSC provides crash courses in swimming for children of all abilities, run weekly during the school holidays. There is also a summer promotion which starts on Monday 25th July up until Thursday 1st September. The promotion is the Pool - “Summer Midweek Madness”, “Buy One Get One Free” Special Offer. This will run from Monday to Thursday between the times of 5.30pm and 7.00pm, throughout the summer holidays. How Does it Work? When two people purchase a standard ticket the cheaper of the two will be free. Offer excludes lane swimming. Carl Glover, NSC Manager, said: ‘We are putting on a variety of fun activities at different times so we can truly provide something for all ages this summer. Alongside that, we are also keen that children who need swimming tuition have the chance to improve their ability. ‘Six weeks can be a long time to keep children amused but there will be fun every day at the NSC.’ For swimming lesson bookings or for full details of the summer fun activities and pool sessions contact the NSC reception, telephone (01624) 688555.
