Balmoral Is Back In August and September

Following further refurbishment of her passenger facilities, the classic coastal cruise ship BALMORAL will be back in Manx waters in August and September for her 25th year of Isle of Man sailings. Her Lounge Bar has been completely restored thanks to a hard working team of expert volunteers and substantially financed from a win on ITV's People Millions competition. As well as bringing in hundreds of day-excursion passengers to the Island from Whitehaven and Garlieston on six separate days, there are three afternoon cruises being offered from Douglas Harbour. • On Saturday 13th August BALMORAL will cruise non-stop Round the Island, leaving at 1.30pm and returning around 6.30pm. • BALMORAL will also be cruising to the Calf of Man (trip lasts about 4 hours) on • Friday 12th August – leaving at 1.30pm • Saturday 10th September – leaving at 1.15pm Both these trips are scheduled to call at Port St Mary on the way back Passengers are asked to assemble in the Sea Terminal departures lounge 15 minutes before sailing time – but no check-in is required. Tickets for these cruises can be bought • on line at www.waverleyexcursions.co.uk • by phone on 0845 130 4647 • in person at Richmond Travel, Duke Street, Douglas • on board the BALMORAL on the day – if space is still available. Advance booking is particularly advised for the Round-the-Island sailing. The adult price for the Round the Island Cruise is ?21 and the Calf of Man cruises are ?17. Children 5-18 travel at half fare and Senior Citizens enjoy a ?2 discount on the adult fare. Group discounts are available for parties of 10 or more adults booked in advance. The bar and self service cafeteria are open during these cruises and there is also a souvenir shop on board. Ends
