Following further refurbishment of her passenger facilities, the classic coastal cruise ship BALMORAL will be back in Manx waters in August and September for her 25th year of Isle of Man sailings. Her Lounge Bar has been completely restored thanks to a hard working team of expert volunteers and substantially financed from a win on ITV's People Millions competition. As well as bringing in hundreds of day-excursion passengers to the Island from Whitehaven and Garlieston on six separate days, there are three afternoon cruises being offered from Douglas Harbour. • On Saturday 13th August BALMORAL will cruise non-stop Round the Island, leaving at 1.30pm and returning around 6.30pm. • BALMORAL will also be cruising to the Calf of Man (trip lasts about 4 hours) on • Friday 12th August – leaving at 1.30pm • Saturday 10th September – leaving at 1.15pm Both these trips are scheduled to call at Port St Mary on the way back Passengers are asked to assemble in the Sea Terminal departures lounge 15 minutes before sailing time – but no check-in is required.
