Win a Bumper Crop of Manx Telecom Goodies at Southern Show

by isleofman.com 25th July 2011
Visitors to this year’s Southern District Agricultural Show can win a JCB rugged mobile phone - just one of many prizes on offer at the Manx Telecom stand. To show how tough the JCB phones are, visitors can take part in a ‘tin can alley’ style competition in which they try and knock down a pile of foam bricks by throwing a JCB Sitemaster mobile phone at them. Knock down the bricks and you can win prizes including kids’ hard hats, drink bottles, Frisbees and bouncy balls. There will also be a prize draw to win a JCB Sitemaster (not the one used in the tin can alley competition!). Manx Telecom is one of the official sponsors of the Commonwealth Youth Games 2011 which the Isle of Man will host in September and Tosha the Manx cat - the mascot for the Games - will make a guest appearance on the stand. The Manx Telecom Summer of Love van is also going to be there - the Summer of Love promotion is giving away 100s of prizes including concert tickets and holidays. Prizes already won include a Steam Packet weekend break in Chester, Shoprite BBQ sets and a ?60 food voucher, and a chance to meet The Who frontman Roger Daltrey. Upcoming Summer of Love prize promotions are to win a Mini Grand Prix session at Duke Karting for the winner and nine friends (entry to this promotion runs from July 22 to July 28) and to win tickets to see N-Dubz at the Villa Marina on August 18 (entry to this promotion runs from July 29 to August 4). If you need details of how to enter just go to the Summer of Love van or find the details online at www.summeroflove.im As in previous years at the Southern Show Manx Telecom staff will also be on hand to answer any queries customers have about products and services. The Southern Show will be held at Great Meadow, Castletown, on July 30 and 31. - ENDS -
