First Manx Royal Artillery Association Medal Holder Honoured by Mayor of Douglas

The first Manxman to receive the Royal Artillery Association (RAA) medal, Willie Kneale, has been honoured by Douglas Mayor Ritchie McNicholl. The Mayor presented Mr Kneale, 79, with a framed certificate in recognition of his achievement together with a commemorative Douglas Borough Council shield. Mr Kneale, who was presented with the RAA’s top honour at the association’s annual assembly in Blackpool earlier this year, has been involved with the RAA Isle of Man for 39 years and in 2007 received the RAA Certificate of Merit.
