At approximately 11.15pm, Thursday 28th July 2011, a male was assaulted on Loch Promenade, Douglas in the area outside Tower House. The 29 year old male victim, has injuries consistent with being kicked and punched and required medical attention. Two males were subsequently arrested close to the scene. If anyone has witnessed this incident they are asked to contact PC 286 Andrew Greaves at Lord Street Police Station or ring Police Headquarters. ENDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At about 10pm on Wednesday 27th July 2011, a window of MacFarlane’s Restaurant, Duke Street, Douglas was struck and cracked. Immediately after, a group of about 6 to 8 youths were seen running from the area, in the direction of the Swing Bridge, South Quay. Police would like to speak to anyone involved in the incident or anyone who has information in relation to the offence. The alcohol stolen was largely a quantity of John SMITHS and 6 cans of out of date Guinness. Any information, no matter how small that you believe it could be would be gratefully received.
