ICSA Annual Dinner guests raise over ?1,200 for Isle of Man charities Dinner Sponsored by RBS International A capacity audience at the recent 2011 ICSA Annual Dinner, this year sponsored by RBS International, and held at the Mount Murray Hotel & Country Club, Santon raised over ?1,200 to be split between Bowel Cancer Isle of Man and Hospice Isle of Man from the Charity Raffle on the night. The evening, compered by Ron Berry, included Treasury Minister, Anne Craine MHK presenting prizes and awards to ICSA students along with an after-dinner speech by the ‘first lady of Fleet Street’ Eve Pollard OBE, editor, journalist, author and lecturer. Bill Shimmins, Isle of Man Director, RBS International: ‘We were delighted to be given the opportunity to be involved with this highlight event in the ICSA calendar. Our support further reinforces our commitment to the Island and its professions, and we were delighted to also help raise further money for Isle of Man charities.’ ICSA student prizes awarded this year and presented to those present (or representatives) were :- • February 2010 - COFA Accounting Fundamentals Prize presented by Anne Craine MHK: Winner Ruth Baxendale Cert.ICSA • Trident Trust Award for best qualifier presented by Heather Kent, Managing Director: Frank Bennett ACIS • Simcocks Trust Limited Award presented by Anne Couper Woods, Executive Director: Andrew Kniveton, Cheryl McGinley Grad ICSA • Duncan Lawrie Award presented by Hilary Peterson, Managing Director: Ruth Baxendale Cert.ICSA • June 2010 – TP Rogers Prize of Best Paper in Corporate Secretaryship Prize Winner Jane Passey Grad ICSA • June 2010 - Livery Prize Winner: Frank Bennett ACIS Gillian Prestwich, ICSA IOM Chairman, ‘We were privileged to receive vital support from RBS International for the Dinner. We were delighted that our principal guests Treasury Minister, Anne Craine MHK, Eve Pollard OBE and Ron Berry were able to join us to participate and help make the evening such a success.
