Celton Manx is pleased to announce its prime sponsorship of the 55th annual Castletown Festival taking place on the 6th August.
Starting at 1pm, the day promises fun for all the family with fashion contests, a bonny baby competition, fancy dress parade, games and the crowning of the festival queen and princesses. Castletown Square will be filled with fun games, stalls, bouncy castles, street entertainment and much more throughout the day.
The evening entertainment will start from 6.45pm in Castletown Square with Mark Cowin’s disco followed by one of the UK’s best Robbie Williams impersonators Marc Dillon. The evening’s event also includes the Festivals Fancy Dress Parade, which will be followed by the unique Castletown Festival’s Grand Confetti Carnival; the event will be rounded off with a magnificent fireworks display in the square at 10pm with dancing continuing in until 10.45 pm.
Executive Director of Celton Manx, Bill Mummery said: ‘We are delighted to be supporting such an important community event in the Castletown calendar. We have been based in Castletown since the formation of Celton Manx and have been warmly embraced by the local community. With the move to our new Global Headquarters in Braddan taking place in the autumn, we are pleased to be giving something back to the Castletown community through our involvement with the festival.
‘Whilst our Corporate HQ will change location we shall look for future opportunities to work with the Castletown community’.
Head of the Festival Organising Committee, Chief Minister, Tony Brown MHK said: ‘I would like to take this opportunity to thank Celton Manx for its support this year as the primary sponsor of the festival. Without the help of our sponsors and supporters this event could not take place. We are very much looking forward to a great day and hope that lots of people from all over the island can join us.’
The festival starts at 1pm on the 6th August in Castletown Square and is free of charge for all visitors.
