Falconry Day at the Wildlife Park on Sunday 14 August

by isleofman.com 9th August 2011
Around a dozen birds of prey will take part in the Falconry Day being staged at the Curraghs Wildlife Park, Ballaugh, on Sunday (14 August). After the success of last year’s Falconry Day, Phil Gibbons from Ringside Falconry, County Durham, is making a return visit to the Island. Birds will be on display all day in the European area of the Park and are likely to include kestrel, harris hawks, falcons, barn owl, buzzards and an eagle. Tina Jauncey, Park Duty Manager, said: ‘Falconry Day at the Wildlife Park is always very popular and is being repeated after very positive feedback from Phil’s previous visits. It gives our visitors the chance to see a wide variety of birds of prey in the hands of an expert with flying displays taking place at 1pm and 3pm.’ Limited VIP tickets are bookable in advance, priced ?50 per person, that include admission to the Park, lunch, access to the summer house, the chance to hold some of the birds on display, take close-up photos and talk to the expert falconer. Please call the Wildlife Park on 897323 for more details and bookings. Link: www.falconry-displays.co.uk ENDS
