Police are seeking witnesses to a road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 7:35pm on Sunday 7th August 2011. The collision occurred on the Ballahutchin Hill between Union Mills and Glen Vine and involved 3 vehicles travelling in the Douglas bound carriageway: a Renault Scenic, a Ford Fiesta and a Peugeot camper van. One person was taken to hospital with slight injuries but was later released. All three vehicles sustained serious damage. Anybody who may have witnessed this collision is urged to contact either Constable Damon Carberry or Constable Jon Penman at Lord Street Police Station on 631212 ENDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Between 5pm on Friday 5th August 2011 and 10am on Saturday 6th August 2011, persons unknown have gained access to a rear garden of a property on Hillside Avenue, Douglas where they have then dismantled, and taken items from a newly installed pond fountain, namely a small black disk shaped float, and water spout. This has rendered the fountain useless, and has incurred inconvenience and replacement costs to the owner. Douglas Police are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this theft to please contact Constable Andrew Lloyd at Lord Street Police Station on 631212 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, where information can be given free and anonymously.
