Hamblin Employment Group, the Isle of Man’s largest and longest established recruitment consultancy, is celebrating reaching its 25th anniversary this year.
The Douglas-based company, which first opened its doors in 1987, provides a range of services including recruitment, HR Consultancy, Learning and Development, Payroll Solutions, Interim Management, International Executive Search and Outplacement from its offices in Victoria Street. Hamblin employs 15 recruitment personnel in the Isle of Man, covering three specific recruitment divisions - Executive, Permanent and Temporary – and many staff members are long-serving, including Finance Director Alex Thomson, who has been with the company from day one.
The group recently held an event to celebrate the milestone, as well as marking the start of a new era following a management buy-out by Chief Executive Emma Allard earlier in the year.
Emma said: ‘Hamblin has been trading for 25 years this year and we thought it a great opportunity to mark the occasion alongside our valued clients, associates and staff. Some things may have changed this year, but we remain dedicated to providing an unparalleled range of services for the Isle of Man. We have been experiencing organic growth, which will see us continue to move forward, while maintaining our professional stance at all times.’
Employing the latest technology and highly sophisticated recruitment software, Hamblin ensures maximum candidate capture and optimised skills matching. Candidates benefit from Hamblin’s unique web-based email job alert system and SMS texting for instant candidate contact.
In addition, Hamblin operates a vast suite of over 1,000 validated ability and aptitude assessments, also adaptable to specific client requirements, and has consultants trained in personality profiling and behavioural analysis.
Emma said: ‘Our investment in technologies and superior services means we have no geographic, functional and service limitations. We also have a presence off-island through a joint venture with one of the largest global iGaming recruitment businesses, as well as being the only agency in the Island that is a member of The Employment Agents Movement (TEAM), which has over 200 members spread throughout the UK and Ireland.’
Hamblin also has a Training Division, which incorporates a separate HR Operation, Hamblin HR Solutions and Hamblin Learning and Development. Through its membership of TEAM and the REC, Hamblin has the ability to source, screen and test candidates off-island remotely.
Emma said: ‘These are extremely exciting times for us as we look to grow our presence and reputation. We will be opening offices throughout the UK, the first being based in Mayfair, which will put us in a prime position to consolidate our position as being a leader in this field.’
