Many thanks go to Thomas Miller (Isle of Man) Limited for sponsoring the Ladies Open competition at Castletown Golf Links Club, held on Wednesday 27th and Sunday 31st July. Although the weather on Wednesday proved to be much kinder this did not appear to affect the Sunday Ladies from the scores that were produced. 1st prize went to Heather McKenna with 40pts (bringing Heather down to a single figure player) Anne Gundry in 2nd place on a countback from Jessie Perry in 3rd place, both with a score of 36 pts. 35pts took 4th place by Karen Faragher. Nearest the pins on 8th went to Lady Captain, Shirley Glover, 13th to Heather McKenna and 16th to Mary Crampton. Best front 9 was collected by Sue McCourt and best back nine Lynda Jackson. ENDS
