African Weekend

This weekend the young people of the Independent Methodist Church, Ramsey are organizing an AFRICAN WEEKEND in aid of the East African Crisis Appeal. It starts on Sat 20th Aug. with a Family Fun Day. The church will be open from 1:30 - 4:30 pm for a whole variety of activities based on an African theme,so come when you can and go when you must. There will be games, crafts, a fancy dress competition (the theme "Africa") and much more! The entry fee will be ?2 per person or ?5 for a family, which will include juice and biscuits. There will be activities suitable for all ages. Make binoculars and go on a safari trail,feed the hungry children,get water from the well or try a computer game. This event will be followed at 7.30pm with a Concert given by the church's rock band "Icthus". There will be a charge of ?1 towards the appeal. Any other donations towards the appeal will be very welcome. On Sunday 21st Aug.at 11.00am the African theme will continue with a fun service for all ages. Names of prize winners will be announced and prizes presented at the concert on Saturday night and the service on Sunday morning.
