A number of new commercial partners have been confirmed for the newly branded Manx Grand Prix Festival, featuring the Two Day Trial, the Classic Trial, the VMCC Rally and Parade and the Manx Grand Prix Races.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company will be the title sponsor of the Newcomers Race on Saturday 27th August and will also be supporting a display of Classic racing motorcycles on show in the Manx Grand Prix Races paddock throughout the fortnight.
Yamaha Motor UK has extended its official bike partner status at the TT Races to include the Manx Grand Prix Festival. The company will be providing nine motorcycles for the travelling marshals to use during their practice and race duties.
Local radio station Manx Radio will sponsor the Lightweight Race on Wednesday 31st August. As well as providing full race commentary and live reports on the event, a service that is available worldwide via the internet, the company is also providing on air promotional spots across both the TT and Manx Grand Prix Festival to promote other tourism events on the Isle of Man.
The three companies join other Manx Grand Prix Sponsors such as Bonham’s, Okells Brewery, Media Partner Mortons, Mylchreest Motors and Motorsport Merchandise. All of the partner companies will also receive a package of benefits including trackside branding, on-line adverts, and programme and race guide advertising.
This year’s Manx Grand Prix Festival sponsors will also be able to take advantage of the newly developed Manx Grand Prix VIP Hospitality Club, which will be situated at the heart of the event in the Grandstand Paddock. Tickets for all Race Days are available for all companies wishing to entertain guests at the event. The Corporate Hospitality will be hosted by a number of leading Mountain Circuit legends past and present.
Geoff Corkish, MBE, MHK, Political Member, Isle of Man Tourism commented:
“We are very grateful for the support of all of our commercial partners and sponsors as we look to grow the interest and popularity of the Manx Grand Prix Festival. It’s particularly pleasing to see so many local companies backing the event.”
