Wizard of Oz

by isleofman.com 19th August 2011
Saturday night sees the final performance of Wizard of Oz at the Gaiety Theatre with the last few tickets still available from the Villa Marina Box Office (tel: 01624 600555). If you can’t say goodbye to Oz after Saturday nights final performance, follow the road to Ballasalla on Sunday 21st August, where characters from the show will do a exert from the magical musical in the enchanting setting of Rushen Abbey gardens. Performers from the show staged by Taylorian Productions, will perform at the Abbey from 3pm to 4pm. Rushen Abbey has provided a beautiful backdrop for plays and concerts in the summer months, and The Wizard of Oz has made it that more special. The gardens are perfect for families to bring along a picnic and enjoy the performance. Why not pop along to the Abbey this Sunday, enjoy some final scenes from the Wizard of Oz and have a chat with the characters from the play to find out how you can become involved in local amateur dramatics.
