Request For Information Regarding RTC

At approximately 12.50pm on Saturday 20th August 2011, a two vehicle road traffic collision occurred at the above location. The collision involved a black and white coloured BMW R1200 motorcycle and a marked Police Ford Mondeo. Both vehicles were travelling towards Ballacraine when the collision occurred. The rider and passenger from the motor cycle were taken to Nobles Hospital where their injuries are believed not to be serious. The driver of the Police vehicle was uninjured. The road was closed for approximately two hours whilst Police conducted enquiries at the scene. Police would like to speak to anybody who witnessed the collision or who may have been travelling through the area at around the time of the collision. In particular they would like to speak to the occupants of a blue coloured Ford Focus that was travelling ahead of the Police vehicle at the time of the collision. Any person who may be able to assist is requested to contact Police Headquarters on 631212. ENDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Witness Appeal to Road Accident near Liverpool Arms, Onchan. Police are appealing for members of the public to come forward with information after a stolen vehicle was crashed and abandoned near to the Liverpool Arms in Onchan in the early hours of Friday 19th August 2011. The vehicle a silver Lexus IS 200 car has been travelling in the direction of Baldrine when it has collided with a grass hedge near to the Liverpool Arms Pub. The vehicle has then continued a short distance before being abandoned on the tram lines on Groudle Road. Police believe that the collision has occurred sometime around 1.30am. Constable Darren Wylde investigating the matter is keen to speak with anyone who may have seen or heard anything, or seen someone walking away from the area.
