Paul Moulton To Stand in Douglas East

Well-known local broadcaster Paul Moulton has announced he is to stand at the House of Keys General Election in September Paul, 51, has lived in the area for thirty years, says his priority will be to keep "Isle of Man PLC" on track in the difficult times ahead. To be a candidate in the election Paul has had to stand down from his position as the Isle of Man Correspondent with ITV Granada but he says its something he has to do. "I'm stepping forward in my bid to keep the Isle of Man the most desirable place for people and businesses to live and work in." "We need to centre government finances on core public services which means protecting health care, education and social services but pushing to expand our place in the world by increasing the wealth of the whole community" "I know I have not much time so I will be making great use of video & social networks to get my policies across" ENDS
