Police are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run road traffic collision. A maroon coloured car of an unknown make collided into the side of a Blue Volkswagen Golf at about 4pm Tuesday 23rd August 2011 at the Jubilee Oak roundabout at Braddan Bridge. The lone occupant of the Golf was not injured however the maroon vehicle failed to stop and continued towards Douglas. If anyone can assist in identifying the driver of the vehicle they are asked to contact Constable Alan Shimmin at Braddan Police Station on 852999. ENDS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Police are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run, road traffic collision causing damage to a Silver Volkswagen Passat which at the time was parked on Palace Road Douglas outside the Ascot hotel. Damage was caused to the vehicle, when a silver vehicle unknown make/model collided with the driver’s door. The incident happened at 14:00hrs on Tuesday 23rd August 2011. Police would like anyone who may have knowledge of this incident or the persons responsible to contact any member of the Douglas Policing Team on 631212.
