Male dance troupe, the Fat Montys, will provide a night of heavyweight entertainment at the Palace Hotel & Casino on Friday 2nd September. Billed as ’72 stone of Liverpool’s finest’, the Fat Montys is made up of four male performers – John Quick, 54, Tony Hines, 52, Keith Shelley, 43, and Alfie Macauley, 51 – who formed the group in 2003 after they performed together at a friend’s wedding. They were subsequently asked to bring their unique brand of entertainment to charity nights across Merseyside and have raised almost ?75,000. They have also performed in Mallorca and Benidorm. Director of Hotels and Leisure at the Sefton Group, Adrian Brockhouse, said: ‘As the name suggests, these gentlemen don’t take themselves too seriously. Their range of routines, including the YMCA and the Cha Cha slide, are notoriously entertaining for ladies who want a laughter-filled night out!’ The show, which starts at 7.30pm, will feature singing and dancing and will be followed by more music and a disco. Tickets are priced at ?7.50. To make a booking, call 682776 during the day or 662662 in the evening. ENDS
