Anthony Long, CEO of the Capital International Group of companies is delighted to announce the appointment of Martin Jones as Group Chief Financial Officer.
As Group Chief Financial Officer Martin’s primary responsibility will be to manage the financial risks of all Group companies and to ensure that the highest standards of good financial and corporate governance are maintained at all times.
This will include responsibility for effective financial planning & record-keeping, financial analysis & the regular production of relevant financial management information, as well as financial reporting to company Boards and the Financial Supervision Commission. It will also include responsibility for the effective management and control of all financial expenditure across the Group. Martin retains his post as a key member of the Risk Oversight Committee, whose primary responsibility is to ensure effective risk management of all the operational activities of regulated Group businesses.
Commenting on the changes, Martin added, “I am delighted to be appointed to this important role within the Group. I joined Capital International in September 2008 and have remained determined and committed to the Group and its continued growth. Martin takes up these responsibilities with immediate effect and will be heading up a new Group Finance Team, which will bring together the accounts teams of both the regulated and unregulated companies.
