Hidden Hearing Presents Local Couple With Special Hearing Phone

by isleofman.com 24th August 2011
Onchan based hearing specialists Manx Hidden Hearing ran a competition at the Royal Manx Agricultural Show on the 12 and 13 August. They recently presented the winners of the free prize draw with their Geemarc Clearsound CL1400 amplified phone. The phone has been specifically designed for the hard of hearing and sight impaired; with special features such as extra large buttons, loud ringing tones of up to 30 decibels and adjustable volume levels. Jenny Cranshaw of Hidden Hearing presented Mr & Mrs Houghton from Union Mills with the handset. Jenny explains “We chose to run this competition because we think it’s important to give something back to the local community. We really wanted to give away a prize which would improve the lives of local residents, as our way of thanking the Manx people for their support. “As we deal with people with hearing difficulties on a daily basis, we know how it can affect every aspect of life. We thought this phone would be a brilliant prize as we understand that communication can be a constant challenge for those with the condition. We are delighted to be able to present the couple with something which will make such a difference to their everyday lives.” Mr & Mrs Houghton said: “We are so happy with our new phone, thank you very much Hidden Hearing!” To book an appointment for a free hearing consultation, phone Avril on 617683 or call into the clinic in Village Walk, Onchan.
