Request For Information

by isleofman.com 25th August 2011
At approximately 6.45pm, Wednesday 24th August 2011, a silver coloured Renault traffic Taxi (mini bus type) was carrying a fare, a female and two children, up Broadway Douglas towards the Victoria Road Junction traffic lights. The Taxi was stopped in the right hand lane, when a projectile of some kind struck the near side rear window panel smashing the glass and covering the taxi’s occupants – luckily, although very shocked nobody was injured. Police are anxious to speak with any witness to this incident and are particularly interested in two young males of approximately 12-14 years who were stood on a wall at the Glen Falcon Gardens and appeared to flee the area immediately after the damage occurred. If anyone has witnessed this incident they are asked to contact PC 152 Graham Corran at Lord Street Police Station or ring Police Headquarters. ENDS
