At approximately 6.45pm, Wednesday 24th August 2011, a silver coloured Renault traffic Taxi (mini bus type) was carrying a fare, a female and two children, up Broadway Douglas towards the Victoria Road Junction traffic lights. The Taxi was stopped in the right hand lane, when a projectile of some kind struck the near side rear window panel smashing the glass and covering the taxi’s occupants – luckily, although very shocked nobody was injured. Police are anxious to speak with any witness to this incident and are particularly interested in two young males of approximately 12-14 years who were stood on a wall at the Glen Falcon Gardens and appeared to flee the area immediately after the damage occurred.
