Police are investigating a road traffic collision that took place on Mount Rule Road, Marown on Tuesday 23rd August 2011 just after 7.30am. During this incident an unknown small red van collided with a blue Volkswagen Golf which was travelling in the opposite direction. Unfortunately the red van failed to stop at the scene. The Volkswagen golf sustained a smashed driver’s side window and wing mirror as a result of the collision. Police are trying to trace the driver of the small red van and are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision taking place. Anyone who may have information that can assist the Police enquiries is asked to contact PC118 Beirne on 631551. ENDS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Police in the Peel area are appealing for information following the theft of a handbag from a motor home that was parked in the House of Manannin car park on Sunday 21st August 2011. Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any person or persons acting suspiciously in the area around the time of 8am – 9.30am. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 123 Stringer at Peel Police Station on 631554. ENDS
