Leading Fiduciary Services Group will attend Monaco Yacht Show 2011. 30 August 2011 (Douglas, Isle of Man) - - Two representatives from Isle of Man fiduciary services group, Abacus, will attend the Monaco Yacht Show next month. Director, Emer Dowling and Yacht and Aircraft Manager, Barbara Jolly, will represent Abacus at the most important event on the yachting industry’s calendar, to be held at Port Hercules, Monaco, from 21 – 24 September. Over 500 exhibitors, 30,000 visitors and 100 yachts are expected at the prestigious event, which now in its 21st year, is recognised as an annual meeting place for clients and industry professionals worldwide and considered the largest yacht show in Europe for the luxury end of the yacht market. The event is a great networking platform with an assortment of attendees including business leaders, yacht owners, yacht brokers, charter agents, management companies, government officials and shipyards. Abacus Director, Emer Dowling, said: “Following the recent establishment of a new Maltese corporate arm, through which we have extended our administrative services for yacht holding companies to Malta, we now have offices in two highly regarded and recognised jurisdictions within the industry. There still remains a good range of jurisdictions that offer competitive services for yacht owners to choose from. We are keen to promote both the Isle of Man and Malta for the purpose of yacht ownership, registration and related administration services and feel that the Monaco Yacht Show will be a great avenue for us to do so.” Yacht and Aircraft Services Manager, Barbara Jolly added: “Though similar in many of their qualities, the Isle of Man and Malta have individual attributes which, depending on a client’s objectives and intended use, may be of more benefit to the ownership and operation of their yacht. Having offices in both locations, we believe that we are a serious competitor in our field of expertise and that the show will prove to be a great place to promote both jurisdictions as well as our services.” Abacus’ Yacht Services are aimed at owners and their representatives, with focus on ownership planning, tax and administration. Their continual review and shaping of their services, to meet the ever changing requirements and regulations in the industry, ensures that the ownership structures they administer are both compliant with current regulations and meet their clients’ specific requirements. Core services include the Formation and Management of International Ownership Structures, Provision of Officers, Purchase and Administration Services, EU VAT Importation, VAT Registration and International Yacht Registration. Abacus Trust Company Limited is Licensed by the Financial Supervision Commission of the Isle of Man Abacus Corporate Services is Registered under the Malta Companies Act 1995 - ENDS -
