by isleofman.com 30th August 2011
At about 4pm on Thursday 25th August 2011 a dark blue and orange coloured full suspension Marin mountain bike was left unattended against the sea wall on Castletown Promenade at the junction with Shore Road. Whilst unattended the bicycle was stolen. Police are appealing for any witnesses who may be able to assist the Police in their investigation of this matter to come forward. Any persons with information are asked to contact Constable Kelly WILKINSON at Port Erin Street Police Station. ENDS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Police are appealing to the driver of a large truck vehicle, yellow in colour with red writing on and similar to a JCK vehicle, which may have been involved in a road traffic collision. This occurred on Friday 19th August 2011, on the main road between Glen Maye and Patrick. A second vehicle was damaged as a result of the collision and suffered a burst tyre. The male driver of the vehicle was alone and was described as wearing a red baseball type cap and glasses. It is believed that the driver of the vehicle may not be aware that the collision occurred. Peel Police request that any person who may have information regarding the identity of this driver come forward, in order to assist with enquiries into the matter. ENDS
