Delay To Racing – Manx Grand Prix

by isleofman.com 31st August 2011
Due to the delay in the start time for todays Manx Grand Prix races it is anticipated that racing will continue this evening. The whole of the TT Course will re-open between 5pm and 6pm in order to lessen the inconvenience to the public. Roads will close again at 6pm and will re-open no later than 9pm. The Police will deploy motorcyclists and Neighbourhood officers to strategic points during the peak period in order to assist with the flow of traffic. Sergeant Dyer from the Roads Policing Unit asks that motorists take in to account the potential heavy traffic flow and where possible plan their journey. He says ‘The roads will be busy and I ask that the public be patient during the rush hour period. We will be doing everything that we can in order to assist with the free flow of traffic’. ENDS
