Peel Police are appealing for witnesses after 4 batteries were stolen from 2 lorries belonging to “Stuart BLACKLEY Ltd.” The two lorries were rendered unusable after they had their batteries removed at sometime over the weekend from Friday 9th September to Monday 12th September. The vehicles were being kept at an outdoor storage facility in the Western area of the Island at the time of the thefts.
The batteries are very distinctive in that they are 19 inches in length and 7 inches across and are much larger than normal car batteries and have a black cover.
Anyone who has information about this incident should contact Police Headquarters on 631212. A reward may be payable as a result of your information.

Police are appealing for information regarding a 15yr old female who has gone missing from her home address in Onchan. Erin BRILLEY, 15yrs of age was last spoken to at approximately 9pm on Sunday 11th September 2011. Erin is described as white 15 year old female, slim build, blue eyes, with straight blonde hair and blonde hair extensions. Erin was last seen wearing a white duffel coat and black leggings. Erin also has piercings in both ears.
“Police would like to say that Erin is not in any trouble, we merely want to ensure that she is safe and well and would urge her to get in touch with her family the Police on 631212 or to speak to an officer at her nearest Police Station”

Police are investigating an incident that occurred just after 11pm on Saturday 10th September 2011 at Jaks Bar in Douglas. It is believed that three males have been involved in an altercation within the premises whereby one male sustained a head injury for which he received medical treatment. Police are requesting anyone who witnessed the altercation at Jaks to come forward and also, Police are especially interested to hear from two females who may have been in the bar at the time and who filmed the altercation on their camera phones to contact Police Headquarters on 631212 or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800555111.
