NSC Leisure Pool Now Open After CYG

by isleofman.com 15th September 2011
The leisure pool at the National Sports Centre has now re-opened to the public. Staff at the NSC have worked extremely hard cleaning the pool and dismantling equipment after the Commonwealth Youth Games in order to re-open as soon as possible. Centre manager Carl Glover said: ‘All pool facilities are now open as normal. I want to thank customers once again for their patience and acceptance of the disruption necessary to enable the National Sports Centre to play its part in hosting the Commonwealth Youth Games.’ On Tuesday the NSC re-opened the outdoor section, the championship pool for lane swimming, the sports halls for casual and club bookings, the fitness zone and health suite and the squash centre. The junior swimming lesson programme also recommenced yesterday (Wednesday) however maintenance work is continuing in the indoor bowls facility. The Bowl stadium is scheduled to reopen after essential maintenance, including line painting, on 3 October. Please contact the NSC Reception for further information about session times and booking on 688588 or visit the NSC’s website for updates on all the facilities: www.gov.im/sport/nsc ENDS
