Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident of criminal damage to a Car Park Barrier.
Sometime between 5pm on Friday 16th September and the following morning, the barrier which raises to allow cars to exit the Bowl Car Park, off Pulrose Road, Douglas, has been damaged. The barrier has been completely bent backwards causing it to have to be replaced.
PC Damien Cullivan from Douglas Police Station who is investigating the incident said: ‘We urge anyone who may have been in the area or witnessed any suspicious activity, to contact the police to help with the enquiries.’
People are also reminded to remain vigilant and report any occurrences of damage and disorder.

Last week, police requested members of the public to contact the Police if they had any information with regards to an incident that occurred in Jaks on Saturday 10th September 2011 at about 11pm. In particular police wished to hear from two females who were in the bar at the time and who may have filmed or taken pictures of the incident. These two females are described as in their early twenties, one female had long blonde hair with a large black flower in her hair wearing a cream top, the other female is described as having long dark hair wearing a horizontal white and black top. Both these females were sat on a sofa facing away from the band playing at the time. Police would urge these females or anyone who may know who these females are to contact the police as what they may have witnesses may be important to the investigation.
