Kids Go Free Weekend at Wildlife Park

by isleofman.com 19th September 2011
The Curraghs Wildlife Park in Ballaugh is having a ‘Kids go free weekend’ this Saturday and Sunday (24 and 25 September). Take advantage of this special offer to see the animals as autumn comes to the Park. Leaves may be falling but don’t worry if it’s getting a bit chilly, it’s a good time to get your scarf and gloves out and find your wellies! Tina Jauncey, Park Duty Manager said: ‘Autumn is a lovely time in the Park, with the leaves crunching and rustling underfoot. As the leaves start falling from the trees there are increased opportunities to see some of the Park’s more secretive animals. As an added benefit, the new sitatunga antelope exhibit has also been completed and the animals can be seen from a raised viewing platform located in the African area. ‘Most of the animals on show in the Park have evolved over the centuries to cope with the wet conditions and they are often more active at this time of the year preparing themselves for the coming winter.’ The Wildlife Park is open every day (10am to 6pm) until the end of October. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. ENDS
